Why I'm Running for Los Altos City Council

I'm running for City Council to keep Los Altos the great place to live and raise a family that my own family has enjoyed for close to 15 years. As a current Planning Commissioner, former Historical Commission Chair, and active community volunteer, I've worked effectively with our city council and staff for nearly 5 years. I've demonstrated my leadership, integrity and openness in addressing city issues.

I'll work to:

  • Manage city finances conservatively, with balanced budgets and sufficient emergency reserves
  • Maintain the character of our residential neighborhoods
  • Improve public safety and calm traffic
  • Support community resources like a public swim facility
  • Promote vibrant business districts with convenient parking

As a mother who raised her children here, I understand the needs of families for outstanding schools, safe streets, nearby parks, and recreational programs for all ages. As a Stanford MBA and owner of a small business based in town, I place a high priority on sound fiscal policies and a strong local economy.

I listen carefully, thoughtfully consider all views, and propose solutions that work for the entire community. I have the time, experience and skills to be an effective city councilwoman, and respectfully ask for your vote on November 8th.
